Dear Las Vegas visitors,

It’s finally here: That wonderful clear and cool fall weather. What a great time of year to enjoy the desert scenery and adventures near Las Vegas.

Wow! Look what’s coming to Las Vegas! A new engineering marvel and landmark, a spectacular highway bridge across the Colorado River at Hoover Dam, has finally begun. The longest concrete arch in the United States will be located only ½ mile downstream from the dam and will provide awesome views of the dam and of Black Canyon from pedestrian walkways. Check out the overview from the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Our contest winner
Thanks to everyone who entered our recent Grand Canyon tour giveaway. Congratulations to our winner, Marie Short. Marie has won a deluxe air tour from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon National Park at the South Rim, courtesy of Rocky Trails.

My recommendation:
Want to see a feel-good musical show in which you know every song and can sing along? It’s the music of ABBA in Mama Mia at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino at http://www.mandalaybay.com/entertainment/calendardetail.do?id=401. Take along the family and “Take a chance on me”.

Enjoy!

Rocky Trails offers active Las Vegas tours for the adventurous-type person - including ATV tours, horseback riding, kayaking, rafting, hiking, and bicycling. Tours in which you participate in the fun instead of watching out a window. You drive, paddle, or pedal and hang on. A wonderful world of excitement awaits you just outside Las Vegas. Get wet while whitewater rafting in the Grand Canyon or kayaking in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River below Hoover Dam, kick up some sand driving your ATV at the Valley of Fire, and enjoy the desert scenes while horseback riding, mountain biking, or hiking along trails of Red Rock Canyon.
